Our 2021 season gets off to a blazing start with a dramatic brass fanfare from Paul Dukas’ ballet La Peri followed by the rousing overture to Verdi’s Nabucco. We are thrilled to welcome back popular young cellist Charlotte Miles who will play Elgar’s popular Cello Concerto. The opening of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony is one of the best known tunes in classical music, and the concert concludes with this belated tribute to Beethoven’s 250th birthday.
